1. When did you attend the Women’s Campaign School and why?
I attended WCS two years ago. I wanted to run for Vancouver Park Board but I only had experience in activism not politics. One of the graduates of the previous Campaign school, Melissa De Genova, told me that the WCS was a must if I wanted to get elected.
2. What was your experience like at the Women’s Campaign School?
I had a wonderful experience. I learned everything I needed to know to get elected and I made connections I would never have made elsewhere.
3. How did what you learned at the Women’s Campaign School help you politically?
The Women’s Campaign School gave me the skills I needed to run a successful campaign. WCS taught me about public speaking, fundraising, campaign management and gave me direct contact to other elected women from all levels of government. I was able to meet the people who helped me run a successful campaign.
4. Why would you recommend that others should attend or support the Women’s Campaign School?
If you are a woman hoping to run for elected office WCS is a must-do. I can’t recommend it enough.
