Tuition bursaries
Tuition bursaries*
The CWVC encourages women of all backgrounds to participate and assume leadership roles in the political process. One way we do this is by raising funds for bursaries to support access to our Women’s Campaign School.
If you are a prospective student in need of a bursary to pay part of the tuition amount, please prepare a 500 word statement identifying the support you are seeking and addressing the following subjects:
- your political experience
- your political aspirations
- your past and current community involvement
- your financial situation
Running for any political office is an activity that involves fundraising. The CWVC requires that you fundraise at least $100.00 toward your own tuition. This is a good experience and you may find that you are so successful that you don’t need a bursary at all!
The CWVC does not guarantee that funds will be available to provide a bursary for any particular campaign school, nor that a bursary will be awarded even if funds are available. The CWVC reserves discretion to award bursaries in any amount it deems appropriate.
* At this time, the CWVC is only able to offer bursaries for tuition, not for travel.
